OverviewBachelors in Veterinary Science or B.V.Sc. is an undergraduate course which deals with the science involving Animals. Veterinary Science, this course in particular deals with the implementation of medical, diagnostic and therapeutic principles on various types of Animals. The duration of this course is roughly 5 years (broken down into 10 semesters) including an internship of 6 months, the exact duration may vary depending on the time period of the internship. The course can also be known as Bachelor’s in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry or B.V.Sc. AHB. Each institute has a different criteria for completing the course, for example: as per the Kerala Agricultural University the maximum duration for completing the course is 8 academic years (16 semesters). The Veterinary Council of India is the recognized body established under the Ministry of Agriculture by the Government of India.
